What services Pixelpipe.com, Etherpad.com, and Tr.im namechk.com have in common? All four are tools I can not live without these days and not even know there was a few months ago. This is how fast the Internet is changing. I suggest you try to give each of the four fast and see if you agree to save a lot of time with each of them.
Pixelpipe is a service similar to Ping.fm. It allows you to post the same piece of content to multiple sites. Whetheris a status update (which is exactly what works and Ping), a post, a video or a series of photos is a very useful service and manages more than 80 different locations. Find a review to come soon in the next month Computerworld. The disadvantage is that you save the login information with the service for each site that you can make nervous if treated with care. And if you mess up, your typing will be sent to see the world for many of your correspondents, in order, because there arean easy way to remember to visit each site individually, without the news. I like it, especially because my blog posts on multiple platforms, partly for the sake of redundancy, and partly because I can not rely on WordPress to be the sole repository of my work product.
Next is Etherpad, a service that allows multiple users to simultaneously edit a document with just a browser. To create a unique URL and then send that employees via e-mail. If anyone knows the URL can make themChanges in the document, and each author, with different colors emphasizes the changes can be monitored. I have this today with a client - even if we are sitting at a table in the same, it can be minutes were changes to a document within one, was incredibly productive.
Tr.im is a URL shortening service with a twist: You can use the shortest route directly to your Twitter account. And this is not easy to wait - there aresomething I like. It's all the people who clicked on the link shortened and show what the client (browser, third party Twitter app, or service) has been used in the process, along with time series data on clicks. You can really see the immediacy of Twitter, but you can also use it to replace references to follow for other services.
Namechk service is very simple, as a specific user on more than 120 different social networks, blogs and search for video sharingsites. We will see if it is taken or available. This is a very useful tool to make your customers like you are in the set to show that scene.
Let me know how you feel about each of these services, you and others have found recently that might be useful to have.
